About the Course
Young Leaders is a FREE leadership programme, organised by Rashad Academy, aimed at university students with the focus of preparing them for committee positions within Islamic Societies. The main aim of the course is to provide students with a grounding in 4 key areas of Islamic Knowledge: Qur’an, Hadith, Practical Rulings and Islamic Beliefs.
This course is perfect for males and females who are Islamically active in a university environment and will equip students with the ability to take on leadership roles within ISOCs.
The first module will give students an insight into fundamental Islamic themes and topics found in The Holy Qur’an and the Ahadith of the Prophet (SalAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) which will provide them with the knowledge to deliver Friday Sermons (Khutbahs), lead Islamic Halaqaat and teach basic Islamic classes.
The second module is a focus on recitation of the Qur’an and implementation of Tajweed. Students will be able to achieve a level of proficiency and confidence in reciting the Holy Qur’an such that it will be possible to lead prayers and assist others to better their recitation.
The course also has a strong focus on personal development in the areas of Fiqh (Practical Rulings of Islam) and Islamic beliefs. Module Three will focus on the practical rulings pertaining Taharah (Cleanliness), Salah (Prayer) and Jumuah (The Friday Prayer and related issues). On the other hand, Module Four will be a focus on core Islamic beliefs.
All our student are required to abide by our “Classroom House Rules & Etiquette“. Please read these rules before you apply for the course.
